As a period tailor Doris has worked on countless films – mostly commissioned by Sands Films, London. She has worked for Hugh Jackmann in Les Miserables, Carey Mulligan and Matthias Schoenarts in Far from the Madding Crowd, Sir Michael Caine and Sir Ben Kingsley in Eliza Graves and many more.

She loves researching the history of costume and textiles and whenever she gets her hands on an original garment she will immediately look into the techniques, textiles and patterns used in making it so that she can use what she learns in her own creations

Les Miserables (2012, costume designer: Paco Delgado) was nominated for an Academy Award best costume and The Young Victoria (2009; costume designer: Sandy Powell) was Doris´ first participation in a film as a tailor and it won an Academy Award for best costume.

For the award – winning 18th century Austrian production Angelo  (2018) she cut and tailored most of the men´s costumes.
